Hi all,
This is not the first engine rebuild I've done but this time I have made the mistake of mixing up the pistons/rods and rod caps as iv had to move the bits mid build.
I've been reading that the rods have numbers on them telling which cylinder they came from, the only numbers I can see stamped on the rods are exactly the same for 2 of them :s
If I'm fitting new bearings does it matter if the caps are mixed up?
I'm having to change one of the rods due to overheating damage (spun a bearing), so I brought a set of 4 from a NA sr20, should I just swap them all over because the set I brought are matched with the respective caps? Then it would just be the pistons that are mismatched.
Any help much appreciated
Thanks
