I have searched everywhere and can't get this info..
I have a s2 rb25 and my maf died. I got a replacement and reliezed the maf on there was a s1 maf.. How would I go about re-wiring it?
There is a shielded wire which looks to be my signal by testing but I has a ground wrapped with it.. Do I take both wires and connect them to my signal on my pigtail or just the white wire? Any help is greatly appreciated I need my DD running so I can take it to auto dream to have a new tune done!

even if you do get the s1 maf rewired for the s2, your car is going to run like crap, maybe even so bad that it's undriveable.
but i'll try to find a link i used to have save that has the info you're looking for.

Why do you say that? The s1 was on the car before? It ran great I'm tryin to wire a s2 maf onto a s2 motor.. I threw the old one back on an still in limp mode ? Ideas? And anything would be great

found it
http://www.paulr33.com/diagrams/airflow-meter-wiring.html

says s1 and s2 are calibrated the same so apparently they are interchangeable.
hope this helps dude

they are interchangable, (s1 has 4 wires, and s2 has 3 wires), i have a s1 harness that used a s2 maf/maf connector on it and they just tied back the bigger black wire.

Crap i cant upload pix but looking from top of plug

From right to left:
Orange/blue
White/blue
Black/yellow

Thats if the clip/button of the plug is facing upwards. And this is a maf with the pink label if that helps at all

Thanks anyways, I went through and re soldered them on and it would die when I hooked up maf if it was running but I regapped my plugs to .035 inch and it idles a lot smoother now . I am leaving the battery unhooked overnight to reset the ecu to see of that helps.. I also noticed the old owner tied the bee-r into the injector ground which is cut.. And if I touched the wire the car died so I unhooked the bee r
