i have a 90 hatch its a speed dual cam swap... its ran good thus far since i built it.. well assembled it. the issue im having now its trying to figure out where my oil is going. i changed my oil 2weeks ago i run rotella 15w-40... like a week and some days later i get the rattles again.. i have no leaks.. the leak i did have i fixed b4 i changed the oil, which was my valves cover.. i rtv'd the hell out of the valve cover..lol (didnt have the loot to get a new one at the time) but i have no leaks.. and im not smoking... now i have no clue what could cause a car to go through 4 quarts of oil in a week or so and it doesnt smoke... where is my oil going!!! when i assembled the motor i did bottom end bearings and rings... but if it is the case, if i have a blow by on my rings can it be massive to where im spitting out oil whole and not burning? because i dont smoke at all!!!

I've read a similar thread, but I forgot where the guy found his oil.

Is there any oil on the ground?

i suspect your burning the oil but just not noticing if you dont have any oil on the ground. you may have worn valve stems??

i had this same issue with my coupe, i changed the oil used 5w-40 liquo moly, and that lucas oil stuff, and it slowed down if not stopped my oil consumption i check the oil EVERYSINGLE DAY.

but before changing the oil my suspicious was also worn valve stems. it still is.
car has some 270xxmiles on it.
