View Full Version : KA bog when i use AC or elec fans?
Any ideas on why my ka24de wants to idle around 900 and when i turn on my AC and/or Electric fans(altima) bogs and stumbles to around 400-500 range? Seems that any electrical load does this?

Check your AICV
Yup, replaced it today and both had same result. All vac lines are new also

Hows your alternator? Is it charging correctly?

Check the wiring to it...the IAC should open up and bump the idle a bit when you turn your AC on.
Well I think the problem showed itself today. On the way to work today my alternator gave out on me.

yeah generally when you have the AC on, it bumps the idle up a little.

These engines bump idle when there is more load on neutral gear. If a new alternator does not solve it, check your neutral sensor (in gearbox, but you can also check it from the ECU pinout or any fault code reader)

I don't believe the IACV is modulated when the AC is turned on. We have a separate valve for that - the auxiliary air valve opens and closes when the AC is turned on and off.

It is, if the engine isnt bumping the idle.
