My car is running really rich at idle, in the low 10's and lower than that at times. You can see black smoke and it runs really rough at idle. Then if I start to get into boost it will go off the chart lean.
I have:
Walbro 255 pump
stock ecu
stock 370cc injectors
stock Sr MAF
I've tested for boost leaks and have none
I'm running 7-8psi (stock wastegate) on the stock turbo..
Timing set to 15*
TPS voltage set to .45V at idle and increments smoothly to WOT
Now, I have another ecu that is tuned for what I think it stock injectors but with a Z32 MAF. If I plug that in, it will still idle in the low 10's but it runs a lot better. If I get into boost with that one it'll be in the 10's unless I really get into the throttle and then it'll go off the chart rich. So I know that it will get the fuel. My question is why on the stock ecu, with a stock MAF, and stock injectors is it running VERY rich at idle, and then going lean in boost. When on the other ecu it will just be stupid rich all the time?
I have searched for days and cannot find anyone else with this issue
