this is for red top

o2 sensor / engine harness (Left to Right with clip on the bottom)
red (power) -- brown (heater)
white (signal) -- white (reference)
black (ground) -- black (ground)

i understand that this is it... OEM... and there's not much to it.

but having been spliced and elongated, some wires aren't gonna match.

so my question is. as long as there's wires coming out of the original harness (after the splice elongated to the plug) and going to the O2 sensor where there wires gather. and each wire is doing a job... it should work correctly? yes or no?

Actually, as long as that single white signal wire is connected from a functioning O2 sensor to the ECU, it will work. The positive and negative is used to speed sensor to it's operating temperature, which would have happened by itself anyways if you are driving. For my redtop swaps, I usually just buy a cheap single wire O2 sensor.
