Hey yall,

Im new to the sr scene and was wondering about safe boost levels on stock internals on a sr20det, stock t25, fmic, warlboro 255, hallman mbc, cx racing oil relocation and recirculated bov, greddy oil pan... Im set at 10 psi now, is that safe or can i squeeze a little more, and what would be my next engine upgrade for obtaining higher boost? Im new to all this so any help is more than appreciated.

Thanks guys and gals

i hope you also have an upgraded fuel pump, and if you do 10psi should be np for your set up. i believe stock internals are good for about 21-22 psi, but new head gasket and some other mods are needed to withstand that.

With the 255 your good up to about 13psi-14psi. Anything after 15psi with the T25 will gain you little performance.

expect the T25 to blow on anything more than 14psi....btw
i am on my 3rd T25....i was set at 14psi

have fun on 10psi.........minimal gains with that turbo at any higher

For longevity reasons of the T25 I Would leave it set to 10psi or less.

Someone please explain to me why I haven't blown my stock headgasket, running 20psi from a gt2871r?

Just Some Facts:
Your stock s13 sr20 is not making 205hp to the wheels at 7psi from a t25~
Your turbo didn't blow from boost!
The self-destruct boost activator on a t25 is not 12psi!

thats good man! consider it a sign of a strong healthy engine.

It is common when upgrading the turbo to also upgrade the head gasket/arp headstuds because it is a common failure point when increasing boost.

My engine needs a rebuild! Not because it broken, but because of it's age and the abuse it has sustained over the years.

Who made this the common practice? The boost itself, has nothing to do with the headgasket blowing.
So don't take this the wrong way. You have been fooled!

When tuning multiple sr's, i have never seen a hp gain from going over 12 psi

Edit: on a t25
