hi still new to everything i just bought a 1991 240, im having a starting problem its kinda finicky doesnt happen all the time. basically somedays when i go out to start the car it fires then shuts down. if i go to start it again it cranks and crank then starts to smell flooded. Ive pulled spark plugs and its complety flooded so i clean then still doesnt fire. So the only thing i can do is pull a couple of injector wirings and it starts and i put them back in.

Ive thought it could be leaking injectors but theres no way it could be all of them. I've also thought maybe its the fuel regulator. I know this is a obd1 car so im kinda limited on diagnosing, and i do not think this has a clear flood mode option like some other vehicles since its older.

Any ideas like i said just getting into the 240s so i dont know if this is common or not. thanks

When you pulled the plugs how did they look?

The fpr isn't very expensive. Before that though you could always check your fuel pressure.

how long does it run before it shuts down?
