forgot to add, the brake pedal doesnt feel sloppy or mushy, no brakes locking up so no air in the system either. i just dont get it.

Assuming you've bled correctly and the calipers are working correctly and the pads don't suck. Step on the brakes a few time then pull on the ebrake lever while brake pedal is down. adjust the ebrake nut. Then roll the car or try to spin the wheels, if on jack stands.
They should be locked now!

This is a common problem. I know mine are stretched the fuck out and won't lock up.

I've heard of this working a few times before. I think lot of people forget to properly set their brakes before adjusting the handbrake.

However, sometimes this fails too.

I've had this problem before and resorted to changing everything including the cables but that still didn't help. Its expensive and kinda a pain in the ass too.

Save yourself some time and just get these > Project Mu Brake Pads - D1 Spec - a-spec tuning - engine performance & suspension tuning (http://aspectuning.com/i-82403.aspx)

Epic lock-up. With them I probably didn't need to change my cables and rotors.

Only downside is they create A SHIT LOAD of brake dust. gotta wipe the wheels down frequently to keep them from turning grey lol.

Also, just change the center cable first. That's usually the baddy.

ok so i have done a little looking and testing, and my passenger side actually is locking but there is to much force built up without the other wheel locking to stop or slow down the car enough.

so i jacked up the car and found that on the little block where the cables split. when the brake is pulled they arent even with each other. the driver side the one thats not locking doesnt move at all really like its possibly stuck and the passenger moves as normal. should i replace the cable from here or both or try to free up the stuck cable if it is stuck and not streched.

If your serious about your Ebrake, than just do the Hydraulic Hand brake mod

With one of these
http://www.ebay.com/itm/SICKSPEED-RED-HYDRAULIC-DRIFTER-DRIFT-E-BRAKE-EBRAKE-HANDBRAKE-BRAKE-LEVER-GRIP-/260876540061?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3cbd74189d&vxp=mtr
u might find a better deal for one on zilvia

You just have to cut into your rear brake line, *not the ebrake cable lines

Change the one that's too long perhaps?

I wonder if the ebrake mechanism could be busted on that one side as well but I doubt it.

Idk, when I did this last year I remember seeing the same thing and tried to do everything one part at a time but it turned into a goose chase and eventually everything was replaced haha.

I have had exactly the same problem.

Don't bother with 33 handbrakes, hydro etc

Instal Project Mu d1 Spec brake pads

and

Uras hand brake assistors (you can copies of them here gktech.com.au for $30, unsure what postage to USA will be- not much i imagine.)

It went from not locking at all on lock, to locking in a straight line everytime, with minimal effort.
