Pro-Am S13 Coupe from Dayton build

Well I'm awfully bored at work, and I figured I'd share the build on my 240sx over the last year and season of drifting in the 2011 Midwest Drift Union FD Pro-Am series... And also begin the build for the 2012 season.

So the chassis is a 93 coupe, very rust free from Georgia. Sunroof-less and no power options. I picked up as pretty much a bare shell in rough shape from someone who didn't really know what they were doing.

Picked the car up in March, and took it straight to getting caged.

I failed at taking pictures of all the rear suspension and links cause it was all boring and black. So I got tires mounted... 235/40 on an 11.5 lol...

Had to grind nissan off the calipers to fit the wheels, even with a 12mm spacer

Then Got everything buttoned up and lowered it onto 4 wheels for pretty much the first time ever... for me. Things fell right into place.

Then took the car to the alignment shop... horrible specs -6 camber front and -5... that was when I knew the emitz had to go soon. But not yet!

At the first event up in Clio Michigan. It was a bad day for drifting, The morning started off with pooring rain and 40's with lots of wind. So getting soaked and freezing while getting the cars ready and teched. It ended up stopping raining just before my run group, and then dried off later in the day but was still cold and windy.

Got back from the event and went back to work on the car, getting the headlights mounted and then the bumper fitted. after testing the bumper, I new I needed a good bracket to make it look right.

So Then it was off to the next round of MDU along with a small parking lot event the day before... Not many pictures at this event my photographer wasn't able to make it.

After that event on a fast track, I realized it was time for the Emitz to go and for some lightweight reasonable sized wheels to come into my life before the next event. This is when my pictures get really off. I bought a set of 18x10.5 rpf1s and a set of 18x10.5 varrstoens, painted them all hot pink and stickered up the car to get ready for round 4 MDU in Nashville tn at an amazing track and facility

And thats the last it looked like before going into the garage to go under the knife again... Its currently torn back down. Getting a new engine power plant with 400 na whp... Front tubs, knuckles, Interior fully paint matched along with front end and engine bay, hood vent, and a matching BN rear bumper. Then most likely a vinyl wrap. But all my money is going towards this new engine setup...

I Just really enjoyed last season and had a lot of fun, and wanted to share it with you all.

The paint color is a teal green metallic from paintforcars.com nothing fancy. Painting it actually went a lot easier than I had thought, it's not perfect but its a track car so its good enough.

Lots of work in store still for the 2012 season, working on getting my two tone coupe finished first then I'll be focused back on this car again.

1 - Did you find where the rear brake line ran into the brake master cylinder
2 - unscrew that line
3 - run a stainless steel line from one of the hydro ebrake fitting to the master cylinder where you unscrewed the rear brake line from
4 - then run another stainless line from the other fitting of the hydro to the line that your removed from the brake master?

That makes more sense than how I ran mine. All I did was run hardlines and T into them in the middle under the car. Going to be running a dual caliper setup next year though. Hope to see you out at MDU

So u put a T in the middle of the hard line that runs to ur rear? Did do anything with the rear break line from the master? Where did u run the two fittings from the hydro?

Did you have trouble making the 10.5 inch rpf1s fit in the front even with the overfenders? What offsets are you runnin?

Running the 18x10.5 +15 with a 20mm spacer so its -5 effectively and i run around -5 degrees of camber. I have a lot of rubbing issues at full lock. Im dropping the wheel size down to a 17x10. with wheel tubs for next year.

Well, it's about time to start updating this thread for actual build stuff for 2012.

I sold my WRX and finished my two-tone s13, so now its time to pour money into this car.

Ordering about 5 grand worth of junk tomorrow, going to pick up the new trans this weekend.

So then we tossed the motor in to get measurements for the tube front that we decided to do.

Then we Built this rad tubed front end. My frame is all bent out of whack so at some angles things look funny. We built this front out of the same material used when building cages. With a gnarly big bumper support.

Put all of the suspension in the front back on and set it back down on the ground along with the new modded knuckles. Steering angle isn't super wild but it'll do.

Now it was time to make the custom gauge cluster. I did a ton of measuring and made a file and cut it on the CNC router at work out of some fancy acrylic stuff. Made the cluster with the Prosport Premium Peak/Warning 60mm oil pressure and water temp. The Prosport 80mm tach. And Summit racing 52mm digital fuel gauge and volt meter.

So last night we decided to toss the motor in, we still had to install the slave with the sikky lines for the master cylinder and remote bleeder. If you noticed, this is a LS7 slave in order to work with my CTSV T56... It was a pain trying to figure which one I needed, I had to make custom fittings for the lines to work, and had to drill another hole in the bell housing haha. But I think it will now work.

Yeah my engine is actually an L33. So high output 5.3 aluminum block with 799 heads (poor mans LS6 heads).

I just used lacquer thinner to remove the sound deadening residue.

soo end of 2012 was good, beginning of 2013 I pulled the motor back out to do some cool DIY CTSV shifter bushing things so my shifter would be tightened up, Also went with some new Sikky 1 7/8 ceramic coated headers, and re did the wiring harness and cut out a lot of unused stuff. Also sold all of my RPF1's
