5 speed swap ECU problem

I have the car running im pretty sure everything works on the auto ecu, i plug in the manual ecu i have no rpm guage car runs for 5 seconds then mutters to its death. Any ideas?

you can use the auto ecu. plug it in and see if you have the same problem.

yeah i know that, car runs fine with auto. problem is im afriad itw ill throw codes and i would like the manual ecu to work just to make things proper

the auto ecu is better
since the limiters r basically non existent
with the auto ecu
manual ecu stops at 115mph
auto ecu stops at 135mph

Auto ECU will only throw codes related to the lack of Automatic Transmission if you do pull the CEL codes, assuming there were no codes to start. For it to only run for 5 seconds is not going to be ECU related (unless something is burnt in the ECU, but that would be the last troubleshooting check)
