Ive done plenty searches and replaced my battery multiple times and put in a new alternator because the alternator wont charge the battery and the alternator fuse blows instantly as soon as i connect the battery or if i connect the battery then put a new alternator fuse in the fuse blows as soon as i put it in. Ive started tracing wires and making sure all grounds and connections are proper and secure yet this shit keeps happening. I have gone through 2 batteries and four alternator fuses already PLEASE HELP ANY ADVICE IS MUCH APPRECIATED

This is a redtop sr20 and battery is relocated to the trunk

Thanks again for any help

believe it or not if you install the small ground backwards that goes on the back alternator itself, it will do this. its supposed to be FLAT/FLUSH against the alternator, take it out and check it, you might have installed it backwards,(if you look at the ground connector, one side is completely FLAT the other side is not,) other than that, maybe something with the way you installed the battery relocation wires for the battery.

replace the wire that bolts on to the alternator. it goes from alternator to the 75 amp fuse. if this wire is frayed and touching a ground, it will do what you are experiencing.

There is two places you can bolt the black wire onto your alternator if you have it in the wrong bolt hole it will also do this...the thread in the right one was messed up on mine so in my infinite wisdom I just moved it over....same effect...tapped the hole back straight bada bing no more problems

the alternator is missing the blk plastic washer on power wire connection
it goes between alt and larger loop comming from harness
the ground is smaller then the 12v loop
this happen to me with a customers car and it came in to the shop that way..not running of course
