so heres there problem when i go 60 mph or over my car steering wheel shakes and so does the car.i have had my wheels balanced, my suspension checked and my frame looked at to make sure it isnt warped. people tell me its a rim but wouldnt a rim do it at any speed? any info will be greatly appreciated.

I had the same problem on my S14 (steering wheel shaking over 60mph) so I changed my inner and outer tie rods and steering rack bushings. Then I got a alignment and now it drives perfectly fine.

Thanks I had my suspension checked and they said it was ok but I will look again a little closer

I'm having the same issues. Had alignment. Changed inner and outer tie rods. But I believe it might be the tires are cambered from previous owner driving on blown struts with lowering springs. We shall find out soon!

Yea man will do .

Changing out all struts then test driving had a clearance issue with kyb agx struts rubbing the tires. Once I get that fixed with some spacers, Ill see if it takes care of the wobble.

What are you running for suspension?

maybe a flat spot on the tire? have you locked up your tires bad lately?

I kinda have the same problem, but once I brake the wheel wobbles. It started happening after my alignment. Car drives straight but only wobbles under braking like I said.

This is actually a different problem I think. Mine is only at 60-80 in or out of throttle but not under braking. I dont know if youve already checked but it sounds like you may have bad rotors.

No not at all and had tires balanced and stil no luck

Have you checked tie rods?

My buddy was having the same problem, and it turned out to be his rotors. People argued that rotors would only cause a shake while braking. But once we changed out his front rotors, the shaking stopped at high speeds and on braking.

I have a similar issue on my S14 but have reason to believe its my Rack and Pinion bushings.
Since I have Stance Outer TRE and Tein Inners

Just got in my OEM R&P bushing set so well see if that fixes my issue

Replaced my struts and rotated tires. My Wobble is gone now!

Its your tension rods, check them out. After years they become worn at the brushings. Get some adjustable ones if all else fails.

I forgot to mention, I put in adjustable tension rods too before getting the alignment and the shaking went away.

bent rims, unbalance tires, steering rack bushings, loose engine mounts

Had the same problem with my 14, the tread on my front tires were seperating due to old age, so many things it could be. 60 mph wobble is normally wheel balance.

i have always noticed the slight wheel wobble around 60 and never been concerned. However, when i break lightly from around 60 i get a lot of wheel wobble but when braking hard or with downshift wobble goes away(strange). I have always assumed that if could be a few things which could include: tie rods, brake rotors, balancing, uneven tire wear(lowered car, uneven tire wear in rear and when rotated to front tires wouldn't sit flat as they if they didn't have uneven wear). Anyway, I am replacing my tie rods because they the outers are worn out, and im going to have the rotors spun while i have everything taken apart.Ii'll update with whatever results i find.

Your wobble sounds like it might be your Rotors or Brakes. Maybe a warped/frozen caliper or uneven rotor. Leaning more towards your rotors though.
