total cost to repaint

anyone know a estimate if i was to paint my car myself. like all the parts and paint to go with it? air compressor? paint? any and all parts to painting it myself? would it be cheaper to do myself or take it to the shop? i want to repaint my Z33 but a glossy black right now its silver.

If you have never painted a car befor I suggest you take it to somebody who does this kind of work & even more so cause it will be a full color change & BLACK.

The price you will pay for proper quality tools will be the same if not more,than if you just took it to a real body shop,unless you plan to paint more in the future.

Also a Z33 is not such a good car to expiriment with your paint skills,just sayin

ive painted a car before just not with my own tools and im gonna start a little business so it'll pay itself all back and plus how else will you learn right? do it yourself make mistakes and learn from it.

I got the tools and materials myself.. i traded some parts HVLP systems and still i had someone else paint my car. I know the guys and ive taken some of my friends vehicles there. So it cost total with lots of body work and 2 tone paint, I took the liberty of removing the lights and other things that i didnt want them to mask off. took me 20minutes to do all that. and 1 hour to put them all back. Its the Red S13 on the link.. I Think they did a pretty good job. Considering it only cost me $500.00
