I just put some new heatwrap on the manifold and the downpipe in my ka-t. i also installed a turbo blanket. well today i turned on my car just to make sure i put everything back in the right way and to make sure i put in the oil lines tight enough. Then i notice that my engine bay was smoking, i turned off the car thinking it was an oil line leaking but upon further inspection my oil line were dry and it was the new heat wrap that was smoking. Is this normal(curing process maybe), if so how long does it take to stop smoking.:bite:

Yes it's normal and it usually smells like cotton candy mixed with laundry detergent. lol

I'm pretty sure that's normal chemical burnoff. I wouldn't worry about it.
