running badly?

ok heres the problem my 1991 rhd 300zx twin turbo auto just started doing it randomly the other day...my car will run really ruff at a stop feels like its jerking."vibrating",when i start to drive again it makes a sputtering out the exhaust doesnt want to get up and go..until im moving then it sounds fine and runs smooth..when i start the car the rpm sits at about 1200-1500 until i put it into drive then it runs at about 1000...im only hitting about 5 on the stock boost guage wich goes to the +7 as well,,
ive tested for vacum leaks found nothing,,did sparkplugs ,the motor still runs strong just the wierd idle/driving issue.this problem is very inconsistent aswell..it goes and it comes

everything was running fine before this, was getting more boost,was running super smooth.was absolute pefect driveline wise

any ideas or ways to check to cancel out any big problems or even how to fix it would be great

Tried resetting the ecu at all? If so, check your connections to your AAC and IACV, plugs and hoses. These are very problematic in our cars. If those aren't the case, then you may have an intermittent injector.

Sounds like a bad injector or a burnt valve

I just sold my twin turbo z32. They do sorts of odd things.
1. Check codes.
2. Check connections on harness ( I would buy a new harness if you're running an old one)
3. Check for boost leaks
4. Check timing
Little things like the temperature sensor will make the at run funny

mine is doing the same thing. it will run fine up to about 2200 rpm, sputter and hesitate and then at 2500 run beautifully.

Check da o2 sensors its been a biggie amoungst the people that i see having these sorts of issues. I have a issue but its more tricky than this one i think, im hunting very little between about 950 and 750 when its at op temp; when i crank it it purrs like a kitten until it gets warm, other than that it runs like a charm but i think this issue had me fail my nox emissions by 300ppm and the fact that i re-routed that asshole of a knock sensor with a new one but other than that im boggled by the hunting. like i said it hunts a little but not much. Also clean your maf with crc maf sensor cleaner. and pull each ingition coil off one by one while the car is running and see if you hear a change in the motor, the one you dont hear a chang in when you remove it is prolly the injector thats took a shit on you. ps anyone is free to comment on my little issue also:kiss: AND FOR GOD SAKES CHECK YOUR ECU FOR CODES :)

well in my case im 95% sure its an intermittent signal, i took my manifold garnish off and went through the wiring. the POS who owned it before me didnt even bother to solder the connectors he replaced. crimp connectors galore and even those are on pretty shoddy

Check you o2 sensors out. Also see if your TPS is properly adjusted, it may even be bad so you might need to replace it. I had a similar problem with my TPS. But don't completely take my word for, just go inspect the area I'm talking about.

After all that shit i done like rerouting the knock sensor and seafoming the shit outta the system over and over till i got my hc's and co's to virtually nothing i adjusted my tps to .44 it was .47 and adjusted the cas back a little also. I APPARENTLY FORGOT TO CLEAN THE FUCKING MAF. :wtf: all i can say is my results are much better and it idles much lower around the 650 to 750 range when it was idling at 1k.... Anyway it feels much better now and its like the car likes it also. Will give a update on the new emissions test when i take it. I know i need a :spank: but we all forget simple shit sometimes.
