Swapped my engine in. It runs AND will startup just fine. i have a t3/t4 w/ 550cc injectors, walboro fuel pump, Z32 Maf, and just recieved a new tuned ECU from R.S. Enthalpy. Both both before the the tune and after the tune, the car was/is running extremely rich. Anyways, heres how its behaving. I have no acceleration at all. I mean... Very slow. 1st gear is at risk for the car stalling out (it stalls out on any deceleration that the revs are below 1,500.) 2nd and third gear are very slow and on third gear the maximum speed i can go
Is 45 mph (at 3,100rpm) 4th gear is the only gear useful and i can go 55mph at 3,000 rpm or 60 mph down a hill. 5th gear is useless as it just slows down the car. Going up a hill will cause any of these speeds to drop 20mph(rougly) and i have to drop gears to make sure the car doesnt stall out due to low revs. The only rpm seemingly driveable. Is 3,000 rpm.
The car is shooting black smoke pretty badly which leads me to think incomplete combustion somehow. The oil pressure has gone down (from 60 to 20psi.) I do have an oil catch can so that might be where the oil pressure is going? Just got new plugs. I'm thinking it might be a bad ground/ bad timing. The car's oil and water temp have been at about 40% which makes me doubt its a head gasket. What do you think it could be? Thanks!!
