So, I just finished up my timing chain replacement/248 intake cam swap. As the car sits right now it has an unhealthy lopey idle (will maintain itslef but it will drop low, shake, etc..) and if I have my altima fans on and headlights it WILL die because of the extra load. Car runs amazing after about 1200 rpm, pulls great. Now when I was trying to time the car, the highest advance I could get on one tooth was 12-13 degrees, I would move it ONE tooth, then the lowest advance I could get was 24. Right now the car is timed at 24, funky idle and all. Car ran fine before except for the timing chain death rattle, it was timed at 21 degrees, had good idle etc. It's a 95 ka with a 91 intake/ignition stuff.. Any and all ideas are welcome. Thanks!
