bought my car 1997 kouki swapped with an s13 redtop sr20det motor..found out that they didnt swap the water temperature sensor and was always wondering why my water temp read pretty high even wtih my dual Flex fans blowing my koyo at idle...so i found out that u have to swap the sensor for gauge with the one from the old engine and i jes got done doing that today...im happy it fixed the problem and now reading the right temperature...now as for the other sensor that sends the reading to the ECU...do i have to swap that also with one off from the old engine S14 KA24de. saw a non turbo SR20DE swap writeup stating that they replace both water temp Sensors form the sr20de with the old ka24de..supposedly this effects the running condition of the engine making it run rich or lean..so the question is does this also pertains to SR20dets... do i have to change out the temp sensor for the ECU also..i mean i notice my car was giving me poor mileage...please let me know..i wish i done my own swap lol any info would be nice

I PM'd you back yesterday...no you dont have to changed the 2 prong sensor unless its bad. They are pretty much the same between SRs, KAs and maybe even RBs and VGs.
