S14 SR20 Oil Pan Dent

Are the s14 sr's as affected by dents in the lower oil pan, looked under my car yesterday and noticed a slight dent nothing major. I plan on taking it off and pounding it out put I am 700km from home. Safe to drive home?

yeah ur good as long as the oil pick up isnt damaged ur good but you should remove then dent as soon as you can just in case and inspect the oil pick up.

Is it true the s14 oil pick up's have slots on the side?

the pick up mouth is wider but the head is only held on by 2-3 tack welds so if the pan takes a hard enough hit it might break the head off.

if you look at the pan you will see a rectangular area, thats where the pick up sits right above

It is not a huge dent just slopes in ha, I will look around near where the pick up is.
