I have a s13 black top sr and i just put a walbro fuel pump today but i feel like my car is not getting enough fue.l if i squeeze the fuel lines were the filter is they are weak and soft i have no leaks of any ... could it be a bad fuel pressure regulator.

did you change your fuel filter?
and yes, you should get a new fpr when you upgrade the fuel pump

Did you check anything that you said you were going to?

First, how the fpr works. It's closed at zero vacuum or no vac. It would have to be stuck open for you to have low fuel pressure if the fpr is the problem, so it's not likely! you could be idling high and pulling a strong vacuum which you aren't tuned for and yes that could cause problems.
Remove the vacuum from the fpr and plug the line. Any difference?
You could also have a leak, the one's you cant see are the injector o rings, check them.
My stock fpr would hold base pressure for 30+mins after engine off, my aeromotive fpr relieves 20psi the holds 20-25psi for about 30mins.
If your lines are good and the fuel pump is wired correctly i would say get a fuel pressure gauge and go from there. We're taking your word that the problem is fuel related but it could be something else. G/L

So then, how are you going to come in here bitching about needing help when you haven't tried a damn thing yet? Check/test what has been suggested and then move on to the next suggestion. The fuel system isn't complicated and there's not much to check besides the pump, the filter, and the connections.
