I have a question regarding the EGR System/code #32 that my ECU threw. Well, my question is moreover where I should service my car.
Before I smogged it, I used the 3M self cleaning kit, Seafoamed the engine via vacuum hoses, changed the valve cover gasket(leaking), changed the oil/spark plugs/O2 sensor and replaced a few of the small hoses around the EGR and BPT that were cracked. I passed everything with flying colors except NOx @ 15mph. Checked the ECU and it threw a #32.
I know that code#32 is EGR function and is most likely due to clogged EGR or EGR valve. I know it sounds simple, but I lack the tools and ample room in the engine bay to reach the EGR system/valve. I have standard wrenches that go up to 15mm and it’s almost like you need a larger mm set of short/deep wrenches. I could go out and buy a set but I don’t want to waste money if I’m not confident that I can fix the problem. Any advise of how I should handle? I was thinking of either taking it to a smog repair shop or just taking it to Nissan. Any thoughts?
