Alright so i've had my RB25 S14 running decent for the last few months, but there are just a few problems id like to address and could use some help from you guys.

First of all the car starts up 'ok' in the morning. Once its completely warm however and I try to start it again, it either takes a very long time, or it wont start at all UNLESS I either floor it, or pull the fuel pump fuse out. What could this be? I've change the coolant temp sensor going to the Ecu and it didn't help at all.

Second off, it misfires at idle. It doesn't miss at Wot, but at idle it misses every few rotations. Any clue how to fix this? I've heard its "an rb thing".

Lastly, ill go to turn the motor over and it will just click about 4 or 5 times before it catches, starter solenoid?

Thanks guys, help a brotha out

Its probably the wiring for the CTS (seriously wouldnt surprise me with that harness)

Miss fire is normal, mine does it and my SR does it.

Sounds like the solenoid mine does it too, Gotta take it back to martins to fix it.

Pat, I just bought my house the other day and will be moved in soon. Have a very nice garage. When you get back from Oki do you think you could help me track this bug down? I know we searched for it before, but its becoming a nuisance.

Alright so I replaced the coolant temp sensor with a new one (blue) and it hasn't helped at all.

Does anyone else have any bright ideas?
Now its not wanting to start AT ALL, even when its cold UNLESS I pull the fuel pump fuse...

Check for fault codes on the ECU.
check your fuel pressure...(should be 38-40psi)
pull the plugs.. keep them in order to track combustion in each cylinder.

seems fuel related, maybe a few leaky injectors.

You might be flooding your engine What kind of fuel pump and FPR are you using, reason for asking is that a higher flowing fuel pump along with the stock rb FPR can cause fueling issues and can possibly be causing you to run rich and flood your engine.

I would try what Chrischeezer is recommending and see if you find anything there, let us know.

Cant check for fault codes, has a mines ecu and the ability to read codes no longer exist.
I installed an SR20 FPR just to see if it would help at all. Havent had a chance to take it out and test it yet though.

Im also smoking upon decel, which could be a leaky injector.
I am running a stock fuel pump as well.
