Just something if your looking to change those hard to find trunk struts/lifts. I found these at Pep-Boys.
These are Sachs Lift-O-Mats(Part#SG225012) $25 each.

Heres a comparison side by side. Make sure your set comes with socket balls(shown).

One side is similar

The other side is different becuase the original uses a bolt and the new uses a socket ball.

This is the original ball socket, I left that there. I used a hammer to hit off the original strut(They do come off, be persistent).

This is were you'll replace the bolt with the new socket balls(side by side comparison).

Take a flat head screwdriver and push back on the tab to open. While open place on the socket ball. NOTE: Your going to need to twist the strut so they line up to the corresponding socketball since they face different directions.(They do twist, takes a lil elbow grease)

Now take away that broomstick or 2x2 and enjoy!!
