S13 Hatch trunk lifts/struts
Just something if your looking to change those hard to find trunk struts/lifts. I found these at Pep-Boys.
These are Sachs Lift-O-Mats(Part#SG225012) $25 each. Heres a comparison side by side. Make sure your set comes with socket balls(shown). One side is similar The other side is different becuase the original uses a bolt and the new uses a socket ball. This is the original ball socket, I left that there. I used a hammer to hit off the original strut(They do come off, be persistent). This is were you'll replace the bolt with the new socket balls(side by side comparison). Take a flat head screwdriver and push back on the tab to open. While open place on the socket ball. NOTE: Your going to need to twist the strut so they line up to the corresponding socketball since they face different directions.(They do twist, takes a lil elbow grease) Now take away that broomstick or 2x2 and enjoy!! |

My set didn't come with because someone had took them out of the package and I didn't realize it. I went back and they took some out of another package and gave them to me....lol. There will forever a missing pair of socket ball screws.

Dude your might just have to go to pepboys and ask for the screws like I did. Im starting to think the screws might not come with these part number struts. When I looked at all the other struts on the rack they all had screws.
