Hi 2 you all.
I have a sandwich plate for ca18det engine and cooler from saab 9000 2.3 turbo and I wonder if it can harm 2 my ca18det engine for everyday drive (chill oil 2 much). I know that ca18det has problem with oil starvation so another reason I'm asking this is if it can happen faster with cooler or it will prevent it? Tnx 2 you all for answer. Btw sandwich is with AN10 connectors.

cover the cooler for daily driving if it's too cold

and what about starvation. I do not run any thermostat... And the oil filter is not relocated...

make sure your oil pump is good and clean out the pickup. should be good to go after that.
your thermostat is for your water not your oil

should be fine there. just block off half of it during the colder months. simmilar to how people put cardboard over part of their rad when its cooling the car down too much or not letting it get up to temp in the winter.

Now I'm using Castrol Edge 10w60, should I go thinner when I put cooler? Think as a little bit restriction in cooler lines, so It can produce a bigger stress on oil pump and higher oil pressure?
