wondering if anybody who was around circa 2005 still has any files from eproms?
due to the series of racing im involved in I need to use a "stock" ecu. so my only choice on tuning is an eprom, SAFC isnt allowed.

im thinking of getting a socket and a few eprom chips. and an eprom burner.
any links to how-to's on doing this? recommendations?
car is a ka24e with:
flat top pistons
short intake
2 1/4" straight pipe exhaust
ported intake.

looking to get any small amount of power possible. raise rev limit to 7300 ish.

also what ideas do you guys have on making power out of a N/A single cam? without modifications being obvious. "yes I plan on cheating, this series has turned to shit in the last couple years and the only way to be even close to competitive is cheat

If your not cheating your not winning.

I dont know much about the process of programing your own roms, I have always just purchased my tunes.

I don't know if e-mance is still around but he used to rom tune KA's

I ran a ka24e along time ago and I upgraded simple things. It felt really good, I would beat DOHC KA's and be able to stay with factory s20's till about mid 3rd gear.

Mods list
Removed clutch fan for electric fans (Used altima fans from junk yard)
Lightweight Crank pulley (THIS MADE BIG GAINS)
Removed AC Belt (My ac worked at the time so i just took the belt off)
I Punched a whole through my cat ( It looked factory but it was empty inside
I advanced the timing 2 deg
Lighten flywheel with excedy clutch
Cone filter with adaptor on stock intake pipe.

I also had the complete rear gutted, Carpet, Sound Deadening tar scraped off,All panels, Headliner , Bumper supports.

I never upgraded headers.

did you notice any problems with the crank pulley at high rpm? ive heard that a lot of lightweight pulleys result in bent cranks and im reving over 7000 all day long

Not at all, I ran that pulley for a year or so, It waked my engine up, Very rev happy..Would raise up to red line like a champ. I sold the motor to someone who also ran it on his car for an additional 2 years. And then sold it running to somebody else. My ka has 260k when i bought my car.

From what i could tell the head was redone, Who knows about the bottom end. But it never gave me any problems.

And the benefits were definitely worth the risk.

With our system you can tune it in realtime with a usb cable and when your done making the changes you normally would leave the board in the ecu but in your case you could burn a chip. They fit in the same socket.

not scca. I could only dream of building the engines some of them run, ~300hp
send me a link or pm to what you guys do. im leaning towards and ostrich but not sure
