Hey guys! My SR20det s13 redtop is getting spark and also power to the injectors but it won't start. All other threads i've searched say that the engine will start if you spark the Starter fuid (for me carb cleaner) but mine will not. not even a backfire. And my spark plugs are DRY. Fuel pump primes and all that good stuff. Fuel lines are in correct position. I'm stumped!

fuel lines are backwards

I'm positive they are correct. The out near the Throttle Body is going back to the gas tank and the Fuel Filter goes to the inlet (short piece of fuelline)

have you replaced the fuel filter lately? If so, is it backwards?

Flat side is on top and it's brand new Z32 fuel filter.

Bump! Could this be my ignitor chip wiring? I thought it sent ground pulses to the Coilpacks

I've been in a hassle with mine for 2 weeks with multiple issues, including your issue. Best thing that I can tell you to do is check and see if you have a 12 volt source at your injectors and check all your grounds. Injector grounds are 107, 108, and 116 at the ECU. I have learned over these past few days that grounds are everything when it comes to these cars. I ended up taking all my grounds and running them to a distribution block and grounding it out with two 4awg ground wire. Car now starts and runs every time with no issues, other than I need a tune to get it dialed in just right. Hope this helps with your problems.

I do get the 12v to the injectors but the ground is definately what I'm missing.
All my grounds are to earth. I'm not sure where to go with this. Maybe swap out an ecu but I don't have any Sr friends where I'm at :(

I would gladly give you a hand but I am nowhere near you unfortunately.

What I ended up doing is cutting the three injector grounds at the ECU and ran the three wires out of the ECU and into one 10awg wire. Then ran the 10awg to a distribution block under the hood and grounded it out, along with all other grounds under the hood. Trust me, I know what you are going through. It took me 3 days to figure that out.

Yes it did. Fired right up with some adjusting of the CAS. Make sure the car is in time when you go to start it!

Hmm but doesn't the cas send the ground pulse to the injectors for them to spray?

Yes but it also tells the coils when to ignite the spark plugs through the ECU. The CAS controls both spark and fuel. If no fuel is getting into the combustion chamber but you are getting spark, then most likely you have a ground issue with the injectors. This is just based on what I have had to do in the past recent days.

I am getting fuel. Just injectors are nit spraying I have fuel pressure and my lInes are on correctly. Would changing my fuel pump fuse affect my injectors from not spraying? I'm gonna re do my timing next to see if that might be off.

That's for all the help everyone i will keep everyone updated
