So I got my RB26 running and all but I got a few problems.
Its running super rich. It puffs black smoke anything past half throttle and also on decel.
The car also has a horrible idle. It goes up and down between 950 and 1100, but slowly.
The car will also not pull past 5000rpm. It doesnt feel like a boost leak, Ive had those before on my old RB, it just stops pullin and gets really groggy. Almost feels like its just dumping fuel and flooding out.
Also, I dont have the factory boost restrictor in, and the car is only building 9ish psi. Is that because it will build more if I get it to wrap out all the way to 8000rpm?
Plugs are also black, super rich like ive said.
Ive got an SAFC and Innovate LC1 that I need to try and start figuring out what AFR's im at when the cutting at 5000rpm happens.
Going to go through and change to a spare ignitor and some new plugs. Current ones are NGK Iridiums. Ran the exact plug in my RB25 no problem.
TPS is also reading .43 volts at close at 3.9v at WOT. Shud I readjust it?
The MAFS came off a working car, and has the Greddy Airnix kit on em.
Coil packs look brand new but I shud prolly check at night if they are arching.
Anybody got any input? Planning on driving this thing to Cali on the 23rd and need it running perfect.
