I'm talking about Al. units, not the new stamped steel ones. Anyone can give a ball park? 1%? 10%? Issues above 400 lb-ft?

Been working on Z's and G's for years and never seen one. Plenty of 400+ examples too.

nissan's switch to stamped steel on new z's also raise an eyebrow (could be cost-cutting measure however). I'm just wonderingn people are just not paying close enough attention or these are random occurrences.

never heard of one cracking

I would suspect the swap to stamped steel is not a cracking issue but because since the 350Z came out Aluminum prices have gone up 400%.
