The anime style doesn't bother me because I don't watch any other anime cartoons so it looks good to me.

I'd like to see a Jim Lee style cartoon though. That would be sweet. A real gritty (maybe on Showtime or HBO) Deathblow cartoon would be cool.

I watched the originals when they came on last weekend leading into this, and openly questioned WHY we loved that shit so much.
I am watching now, and the non anime fan in me is finding it difficult to love this, but it is not terrible yet.

Episode one was just ok. Did not care for the animation style ...better than spongebob and same as most usa animation these days. They should have just updated the art style from the original . Did not like that now Lion-o and Tygra are brothers. Why make this change as it adds nothing to the story. Snarf is there to sell toys only as he seems incapable of speech. And as for the second episode , Moby Dick tales already ? Come on people.

Well, the animation is being done by a japanese studio, so it's gonna look anime-esque. And apparently Tygra is adopted, so I imagine that'll tie in somehow.
