Car: 1993 Nissan 240sx Auto 135k miles.
Got the car about 3 weeks ago. Guy said he put about 300 miles on it in 2 years, car ran fine I put 93 in it and drove it home, later that night it developed a missfire. Looked through some paperwork the guy gave us and found out the owner before him did a bunch of work.
New cap,rotor,plugs,wire (2008) i pulled and checked everything they seem fine. Also was a reciept for 4 new injectors and install.
When the car is in Park it idles smooth then has a misfire/pop (but not a backfire) and the engine shakes. i pulled maf car shut off. i then switched it with a known working MAF same symtoms. i pulled each injector plug 1 at a time everything made the car run worse, so i couldn't be an injector.
I swapped out with a known working coolant temp sensor same issue. Replaced the IACV with a known working one still have the same issue. I don't see any vaccum leaks or hear any vaccum leaks.i also replaced the fuel filter car still idles rough and seems to have no power, and the CEL doesn't stay on....it will flash then shut off then stay off then come back on. Checked the ground from the battery to the chassis the car and it seems fine. Checked the ohms on the injectors and they all read 11.4. I seafoamed the car and still seams to run goofey. had some friends look at it they are all stumped too.
