Got my swap running pretty smooth.
Got tags and tried to drive it the other day.

my o2 wire touched my manifold, melted. The car shut off, i popped my eng cont fuse and fried my ecu.

I rewired my sensor, replaced the fuse and jumped the power strip on my ecu.

Car runs again, but now she will not shut off. I have to unplug the coil packs to get it to turn off, this is obviously a pain.

I dont even know where to start troubleshooting this issue. The engine had no problems before i melted the wires.

ignition switch and wiring first.

you jumped the ecu power..does that go through the ECCS relay that would shut the ecu of normally?

there is a way to just get rid of the eccs wiring/relay but it's an immensely great idea in the future to unplug your battery if any electrical work is needed.

Sounds like whatever you did in that area is the culprit, it will also turn off by unplugging your eccs or injector fuse but you dont want to do that lol.

Didnt realize people replied to this thread haha.

There was a strip on the ecu board that split and it was bridged with a wire.

Im thinking ignition switch more than ecu now, i have to play with the key to get it to fire up, although once it does it takes half a second to crank and start running. So im thinking my problem is the switch.

My ecu still stays on after i stall the car out though.

OK when u burned o2 wire did u split harness up to check if it melted other wires and their bridged...
chec at the two plugs by battery....
wht/black is ecu switch..if it stays on after switch is off wire is bridged somewhere
