I drive a s13 blacktop with stock turbo and such, front mount, hks ssqv bov. I just recently recirculated my BOV and every time after i hit boost and shift, just right after the valve releases pressure you here a key rattling sound. for example its like *build boost*,*Pressure released from BOV (Tshhh)*,*Key rattle noise* Only does it under load also.

Surge really isn't a key rattle sound, more of a cha cha cha cha as the compressor wheel stalls....you'll hear this at low RPM if you let off the throttle quickly etc etc.
Here is a great example I just searched on youtube, go figure it's an SR20 car haha

Ah no, def not like that. Wish i had a way to record the sound lol, but you only hear it when under load. Right after the BOV does its thing, and does sound exactly like rattling keys. =\ I don't have much of an idea of what could really be making the noise, just hoping its not damaging in any way, especially over time and continuous use. Considering it is daily driven.

Was listening to it closely and i do hear a bit of shutter, def not loud like that vid though. I kinda always thought it was just the hks bov. Maybe i am getting some surge, is there a way of testing it? Im about to disconnect my relocation tube and see if it still makes the rattle noise..

Disconnecting the reciruclation will not change how the BOV is oeprating at all. IMO the SSQV sucks, as it's known for some fluitter and the sort on all cars.
You'll most certainly need to retain the recirculation to have the car run half decent as well. Like in my PM, let me know if you need thigns looked over.
