HELP! cannot remove the CRANK SPROCKET on a Z32 NA

im trying to help a friend replace the front main seal on a 91 Z32 NA and we cant seem to get the crank sprocket off. we tried prying it but no luck. its ON there. anyone have any ideas or tips on how to get this thing off?

you need to use a gear puller.

not enough room unless i pull the motor out. found on some other forum, if you cant pry it off, cut it and break it off, replace with new one =/ going that route. thanks for looking though.

Bro, ALL you has to do was take the radiator out(if you already had the front end disassembled, take 27mm bolt off, and use a gear puller to pull it off.

In the future, you can drill two holes in the face of the gear, tap the holes and use a puller on bolts that you thread into the newly threaded holes. It destroys the gear but you should replace it if you're taking it off anyway; cheap insurance.
