im planning to go to e85 on my rb25det and upgrade some other things as well heres the parts i have and the ones im planning on getting..
i want to go e85 be cause its wayyyy cheaper then race fuel and i cant find anything over 101 where i live besides e85 i also never drive it except to drift so idk ... also i read e85 burns cooler and s13+rb25+cooler=:coold:
have:
power fc
stock rb25det s2
walbro 255 fp
z32 mafs
straight piped 3.5" exhaust
freddy mani w/ q45 tb
parts im planning on getting/ have questions about:
-700-1000cc injectors- what company sells good ones? these would be perfect for 350-450whp with e85 correct? i found these on ebay what you think? 6 JECS 1000cc Fuel Injectors Nissan 1995-98 RB25DET NEW - eBay (item 260714305106 end time Jan-29-11 11:12:36 PST) (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/6-JECS-1000cc-Fuel-Injectors-Nissan-1995-98-RB25DET-NEW-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem3cb3c89652QQitemZ26071 4305106QQptZRaceQ5fCarQ5fParts)
-gtx3076r turbo have not heard anything about this turbo and rb's but looks perfect for my goals and seems like it spools fairly quick acorrding to the graph. if you know of a better subsitute lemme know(cheaper/spools quick/great quality) for drift so need the response
-should i upgrade the fuel pump for the power goal im trying to get on e85? or will the walbro be fine?
-apexi boost controller add on for pfc
-is there any gaskets i should worry about?
-should i do a cometic head gasket and arp studs/bolts?
-fuel hose is there any certain type i should use??
-maybe plastic or aluminum fuel cell?? since e85 rusts gas tanks???
-am i missing anything?
e85 is a geat means of getting power, I have my evo running on it and hate it when im forced to run 91.
the 255 walbro can support 450-500 but thats it more then that you will be running on borrowed time.
you can go with the new aeromotive stealth or dw304 which both outflow a 255 and can support 600+.
but for the power range you want a 255 is enough and at least 1000 injectors.
example i am making 412whp and my injectors are at 85% in my evo.
My silva is going to run E85 as well and i have 1650's for it.
hope that helps

FiveO makes good injectors that all the E85 Subaru guys are jumping on board with. Definitely go with 1000cc injectors, as E85 flows a lot more than pump. Subaru-Side Feed - Import Fuel Injectors - Custom Milled High Performance Impreza WRX and Mazda RX7 Siemens Injectors - OR571000 (http://www.fiveomotorsport.com/import-high-performance-fuel-injectors/?itemid=1120)
1 Walbro should be enough for the 1000cc injectors, but above that you might want to do a dual setup. You should be able to reach your hp goals on that setup. It would be wise to get the 1200cc set from FiveO, just for piece of mind and head-room, but 1000cc should be enough until you go for a bigger turbo.

no need to go dual if you go with teh DW or aeromotive stealth both are drop in tank pumps

i would say at the least go with a dual walbro setup. that should be sufficient. and you will most likely be getting close to maxing out the stock fuel lines which you most likely shouldn't be running E85 on, when i was looking into doing a e85 setup i was looking at upgrading lines, running dual or tripple walbros and dual fuel filters etc. it's a big step to run e85 in these older cars.

thank you great info!
i have one question since my car has an rb wont my injectors be lower than your 85% for: 1 because its 6cyl, 2 ill be around the same power so i wont have to push as much in each cyl as you do to make the same power?? idk tho
the way i picture it is since mine is 6cyl i have the extra injectors i dont need to stress the system as much for my power goals because it would be like me having a 4cyl with 1250cc injectors trying to make the same power correct me if im wrong.

ill look into it thank you for the reply but i guess my question is the same as above lol
i wont be passing 450 unless i build the bottomend guys so if that happens i would just upgrade again but i doubt it lol
and i want to go e85 and bigger turbo at the same time so when i tune it i dont have to retune it for new turbo and boost levels
off the subject a little bit THANK YOU ZILVIA FOR REPLYING NICO SEEMS LIKE NO ONE EVER REPLYS TO ANYTHING LOL!!!:bowrofl::bowrofl::bowrofl::bowrofl::bowrofl ::bowrofl::bowrofl::bowrofl::bowrofl::bowrofl:
im sorry but where are you getting your info? nissan groupies arent into the whole e85 thing but on the evo side we have been doing it for sometime now. I ran E85 non stop in my daily EVO . single 255 can handle 500 no problem , more then that then a dual would be needed but thats a big step $ wise as you have to buy 2 pumps then mod the top hat to carry the dual pumps.
Now DW and Aeromotive both have come out with new higher flowing pumps
here is info on both
The Aeromotive 340 Stealth In-Tank Fuel Pump is a high-output, compact, lightweight, in-tank, electric fuel pump that fits most popular EFI applications and bolts into most existing hanger assemblies. What sets the 340 Stealth Fuel Pump apart is its superior flow throughout a wide pressure range. Compared to a typical 255 at 40 psi, the 340 Stealth Fuel Pump boasts over 30% more flow. This pump is ideal for applications requiring more flow while retaining the factory wiring and mounting provisions available in the Original Equipment (O.E.) configuration. The 340 Stealth Fuel pump is also ideal for use as a universal replacement for applications that require more flow to support forced air power adders such as turbo and supercharged applications.
the dw pump link tested on a built 4G63. made over 600whp with a single Deatschwerkz pump on e85
http://forums.evolutionm.net/evo-dyno-tuning-results/527700-new-deatschwerks-dw300-high-flow-tank-fuel-pump-testing-review-maperformance.html
both units are under $180
yes you are correct on the injectors but buy big once jsut for the headroom.
plug a added plus with e85 is it will help spool bigger turbos faster  i love E85 nothing like it for the price.

I have been messing with e85 for some time now and I just love it. I really would never want to go back to gas on a performance application.
One thing I have noticed is e85 seems to atomise better at low pulsewidth and cold start better with a 4bar setup. This gives you a little head room too. Your 255 in tank will not handle a 4bar setup though. Since I already had a 255 in tank i opted to put a 255 in line high pressure pump in and the setup works great for me.

im planning on doing the same thing in my S13 with a RB25... my friend just finished building a s14 SR on E85 and made 414hp to the wheels on a GT30 and 20PSI with 750cc injct. Im going with some 660cc HP top feed with a stealth pump, 60-1 turbo in mine. im only really looking to get 400-450whp in mine so im sure it will work out no prob. and yes E85+RB25+S13= lower temp FTW! LMK what you end up going with as far as set up goes. im getting everything little by little so it may be some time before i get this set up going.

I have a question though, say its tuned for 500 ish hp on e85, do you still have the option to run regular premium unleaded when daily driving it around town?
i am keeping tabs on where this goes too. Wanting to hit the low 500 mark on dyno. i think ill be digging into the e85 setup a bit more since this seems really efficient.

U can, but you need to have 2 maps.
I did it with my old ka-t set up running emanage and a tune for e85 and one for 93.

Thank you for that info sir. Can anybody confirm needing a different gas tank like the op mentioned?

No problem man, I still used my tank and lines after I sold my Kat setup and my car sat for a few months (i did put 93 and ran the car before i pulled motor)did my rb swap and I had no problems with the tank or lines going bad.

You don't need e85 to make 450whp on an rb25, so why run it in the first place? A single Walbro255 and a set of 750's will make over 500whp on pump gas.

a walbro 255 will not handle any 4 or 6 injectors around 750cc @ 45psi at a efficient rate.. will need to up the pumping power or will run into some serious leaning situations
I run a 255lph and 850cc's inj. @ 43.5psi base fuel pressure but anyway!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fake ass venders with bullshit information, tell them you can't run e85 without a metal head gasket why don't cha!

There are plenty of Evo owners out there running single Walbros with ID1000's and making over 500whp.

It's because you don't have a vendors license to sell what you just advertised on this site = fake ass vendor
Plus, your info was wrong which is why I even posted, if your info was correct a moderator would have called you a fake ass and probably pointed you to where you could get an advertisers license.

You wanna run with the big dogs or squat with the little puppies, if it's the latter you came to the wrong place. I gave the ol' lady 3, 0's my night is over and it was great thank you.
