ka24e bogging

Hey guys, I have a question about a buddy of mines truck. Its a 1997 Nissan King cab with a ka24e. Ok, so he bought this truck from a guy, he said he had just replaced the distributer and he wasn't sure why the motor was running the way it is now. Here's the symptoms; It idles great, cranks everytime if you have'nt been driving it. But if you drive it for longer then 30 minutes it takes a few tries to get it to start, sometimes you even have to wait up to 10-15 minutes.. It also bogs under WOT and its overall just a turd! Does this sound like timing to anybody else?
I know it has a new battery,starter and terminals so Im sure thats not the starting issue.

Its sounding to me like either a fuel problem or timing. Just curious to see if anybody else has had similair problems or knowledge as to what this can be?

i doubt its the timing because then the car wouldnt start at all
time to start replacing lil stuff such as
spark plugs, wire plugs, fuel filter, o2 sensor
start with small things first
