Hey guys,

I'm currently sitting with a stock '95 240. I noticed a week ago that I saw puddles of oil sitting under my car. I checked the oil pan over the weekend and there was nothing wrong with it. I took the car to a local shop to have them put in some oil and check it out. It looks as if on the passenger side while the car was running oil was just leaking from above the pan and from the block. I've been searching all day for some answers but I have not found any luck. I've read up on valve gasket leaks but the normal symptom is to smell something burning which I don't. Any ideas? :(

Update I put a quart of oil in and my daily drive (about 7-8 miles) just killed the entire quart.

Seriously?
Jack it up,
Wipe away old oil,
Start car,
Watch for leak,
Fix leak.

Get some automotive fluorescent dye and add it to your oil then drive around. Once you get home use a black light to see where the leak is at. No guessing, no bullshit.

its provably a bad front main seal.

Check oil sending unit on oil filter housing. They are known to leak.

Ya sounds like a bad front main seal, but you could also check the oil pan gasket.
