I figure as Zilvian's, we lack in the asshole-ness of Ziptied, but have the numbers to help out with this.
Someones gotta hear something.




VERDIER: Last night Cody Parkhouse's race car with a white enclose trailer got stolen in front of our house in Long Beach.
The car is a red 240 sx with a vq35 vortex supercharger.
The trailer is a white Carson enclosed trailer lic # 4AB2288 with small black "Pacer" sticker on it.
Please keep an eye out for us.

My guess is, some of these thieves steal cars to use parts for personal use. I doubt they'd be stupid enough to steal a car as well known as that one, then try to sell the engine set up.

Red s13 hatch, supercharged vq, parts shop max arms, tein superdrifts, custom pwr radiator, 1 sparco evo and 1 evo2, kaaz 1.5 way diff, aeromotive a1000 fuel pump, aem 1050 ecu. I know a lot of the parts are pretty common but maybe some stuff might stand out.

Rethink all of the possibilities - who has a truck, and can tow the trailer away. Was it just parked, or attached to a truck/tower/whatever? Definitely someone was following/watching. Get the PD to do the prints. Most likely won't get any results unless you really bother them, but hey, it's a start.

why would that matter in this case really? obviously the person who stole it has at least some knowledge of what they're stealing before getting themselves into the situation. vinyls or not, the person that stole it is up to date with the trailer and its contents.

An news on this? Why is everyone here saying "who would steal a well known race/drift car" it might be well known to you because that's what you're in to, every single person doesn't know about it, in northern Cali hicks steal trailers all the time, doesn't take long to hook it to the ball and go up a couple blocks then stop to secure it, usually these people just steal the trailer take to where ever they hide and open the trailer to see what they scored.

Remember, that motor set up may not end up in another 240sx, could be tossed in a Z, corolla, rx7, supra, datsun 510, don't just think "it's going in another 240sx.

Also, it's so well known, sponsored and so much money was put in, why was the trailer parked in front of the house in plain sight? All that money spent and no "loJack" for such and important car? No type of security for the trailer? Why couldn't it been put in some type of storage? I'm sure Jeff Gordon doesn't leave his car in front of his house in a trailer thinking, "who's going to steal this? No one knows whats inside the trailer"

Sucks it got stolen, hopefully something turns up.

REMEMBER, don't think just because "im in a nice neighborhood nothing will happen to my car" because the theives know a nice neighborhood is the place to go steal a car due to the carelessness of the person thinking he's safe in his "nice neighborhood" he takes no precausion to add some type of security, those people are the ones that usually get ther car stolen.
