Went to start my car today, and it would not turn over, It started to and then make a click click like a spark hitting an electrical node (best way to describe it) and then nothing, so I thought the battery was dead. Tried to jump that car and nothing. The first tries however, you would here the click click sound with the brake pedal depressed, but nothing that indicated the car was trying to start. What could this be?
Bit of background information, I just got my 240 about a week ago, and there is a known drain on the battery, which is why I thought it was dead. Since the car's previous owner did not know where the drain was coming from he tried to install a kill switch. The switch mechanism is broken, and I have not messed with it since I got the car, and drove it home, just not sure if there is a correlation.
Oh BTw any one know how to remove the kill switch?
Searched for the answer before I posted, but kept getting an error even when searching within the advanced settings just the sticky about searching the forum instructs
Thanks

Check the main fuse and alternate fuse.
Just take the wires from the switch and attach them.

If your getting multiple clicks then its low voltage or there is enough voltage but its just not getting to wear it needs to go.
1 click means bad starter
multiple clicks is not enough power.

So is my battery just done, since it was connected to jumper cables? Or what else could cause the car not to get enough power?

What do I attach the wires to? And are you talking about the kill switch?
Thank you for your help:wavey:

Just attach the wires to themselves. Thats all the killswitch is, it acts as a connection between the two wires to transfer power. Its not like the switch is taking power from this circuit then transfering it to this circuit its all the same shit just connect the wires together.
If you have a voltmeter i would check voltage on the battery then on the battery posts then down i'd check the power on the starter see what comes up there.

Update- I put a different battery from another car to test it to see if it would start up, and it did. I am guessing my battery is just dead!
On a side note what is this??

I know it has something to do with ignition because when I take it off from the battery the car will not start. And how so I get rid of it, It is in the way of my door because of how the wire were run!
Thank you again for all of your help!

Wow dude, you really bought a mess of a car. The previous owner did a whole bunch if jimmy rigging when it comes to wiring. But, you should do a voltage drop test on the starter supply wire. Anything more than .5 volts is too much.

^ I Feel GOOD! well at least I will learn wiring 101. So what is that I have pictured there? And any good sites to learn about electrical work on the 240 ?

So I think that I found my draw from the batter. Put my voltmeter to the 20. setting and it read 12.65 when I tested what is pictured above. I now have to figure a way to remove the dang thing.
