ok guys i have researched alot and cant find any answers so im lefft with posting for help.
ok well i have a 95 s14 obd1 and the motor went out due to blown head gasket. i then found a dismantling yard that was selling a couple dual cam kas. so i went over and they had 2 94 obd1 ka24de. so i asked them if they were compatible with my car bcuz they came off an s13. they said yes so i bought motor. i installed motor and motor does not run right. motor cranks over perfect and runs fine for 30 sec then starts shakin alot. it smells rich and bogs about 1.5k to 2k and then car runs fine. i checked maf injectors o2 sensor iacv and nothing.
my question is a 94 ka24de even ciompatible with a 95 s14 even if they both are obd1??? like ecu issues or something??? any help i wud appreciate it alot thanks guys

Are you running the 95 ecu, harness, and distributor(swapped out the 94 front cover and dizzy for the 95 one)? If you swapped out the dizzy, is the timing correct?

Are you using the s14 intake manifold on the motor also?

yes it might be a problem you should only use the s13 ka longblock and intake and exaust manifolds from the s14 ka since 95 is partial obd2, its also good if you plan to smog your car in the future

definatley switch the manis like before i had a 91 s13 i swapped and put in a 95 s14 ka nd i had to reuse the s13 manifold but i kept the intake and radiator, so since this is the opposite put the s14 intake and manifolds on and reuse the radiator and make sure you are using your ecu and harness

you should remove the emissions to avoid any vacuum problems since you already have the motor out

A 1994 KA would have to be a convertible engine, these are the same mechanically as an S14 engine.
All you have to swap is the distributor. The CTS and TPS plug right in. Nothing else is different besides the EGR pipe, which wouldn't matter unless it's not connected/plugged.
You have another problem.

ya but wen I did swap there were bout 3 plugs dat didn't match nor did my heater hoses... Some guy on here saidd 95 ka was partially obd2 so I believe dat can be prob if it is so

1995 engines are all OBD-I. Period. Heater hoses have nothing to do with OBD anyway, the S13 hoses are just a smaller diameter than S14 hoses. You can switch the cooling lines, the entire intake, or the heater core, or buy hoses with a transition on one end.

I already did dat before I put motor in... I jus mentioned da heater hoses jus to point out dat a s13 manifold is different to da s14 but anyways il get back to you guys how it went...

So he already swapped the mani and distributor and it turned out to be the timming chain, its off by one tooth.
