oil sensor and battery

my oil pressure sensor is leaking can that also cause shortage in my battery

the battery goes to dead even when i charge it and when i tryied jumping it and turned the key to crank it smoke came from the direction of the sensor i looked at it and it was covered with oil

i just didnt know if sensor covered in oil would cause a drain from the battery if u know let me know. i will be putting a new battery in tommorw
