Hi guys!
Got Ã* question for ya.
I have Ã* s14 that came with sr20det stock over here(Sweden) and i have now swapped The engine to Ã* redtop. (please dont ask why...) ive changed engine harness with Ã* custom one from wsp.
I am now running Ã* ECU 62.

My issue is that The car ran rich like a mofo.
Talked to Jason at e-mance and he Said that maybe ive got Ã* bad batched daughterboard.

But My car runs no different if i take out The daughterboard with The chips.

And The ECU has The jumper switcher to j2.

Anyone have any ideas? Is My ECU fried?

Anyone got one for sale then?!

Many thanks

If you haven't already check your ground wires and make sure they're all connected, and make sure you're getting good voltage to the ignition system.

Check your fuel pressure regulator.

Make sure you don't have a leaking injector.

Then if you still need an ecu you can pick one up on ebay and there are probably some people on here with them.

Hi and thanks for some input. Altough ive checked the injector seals
Ive ordered a rebuild kit for the injectors. Had orings from Local hardware store. Worth a shot.

I am using stock fpr with The walbro fuelpump.
If i buy a aftermarket fpr which should i get?

I got a sard adjustable i can get cheap. Should i use that one?
Also should it be a progressiv or linear one? (not sure if these are correct description Word in english thou)

Many thanks!

What I should have said in regards to the fpr is check the fuel pressure. Make sure it isn't too high like the fpr is stuck closed.

If you want to buy a new FPR I'm probably not the guy to ask though. I don't have any experience with anything other than stock.

Also unfasten the fuel rail from the engine (leaving the fuel lines connected) and put something under it like some cardboard to show the leak and keep some of the fuel off your engine. Turn the key to the on position but don't crank the engine. See if fuel runs out of an injector indicating that it is stuck open.

Also search the boards a lot I know I've seen a lot of people with similar problems. That could also be of assistance.

Will remove The fuelrail today and check it. Will get Ã* gauge to check fuelpressure to. How much pressure should there be at idle? Or how/when do i measure it?

I've read that it should be at 43.5 psi (3 bar) with the vacuum line disconnected. And to check it you will want to install a T for a gauge on the pressurized side (before the fuel rail). The return is the line that attaches to the regulator that one will have no pressure. I think I have a S14 FSM in pdf format around somewhere. Its not quite the same as the S13, but its similar enough it will work for most things. When I get home from work I can look for it and send it over if you would like.

thread here years old but I'll mention anyway, if the car runs no different at all if you remove the daughterboard then its stuck in limp mode and its the ecu fault. super rich just to allow you to get to safety, burned trace inside ecu I bet due to faulty install.
