SR20 Killing Me

Intermediate throttle does not respond. Car acts almost like 2 step. It builds boost at about 25% throttle while out of gear. When you drive it in gear and slowly push the gas it will pull for a split second then misfire. If you mat the throttle it pulls fine.

Checked tps wiring
boost leak check

Changed mafs

Any ideas????

Sounds like the car is not timed right.

The only reason I can imagine why you would be building boost in neutral is if your timing is quite retarded....

That's how a 2-step works....it fires the spark off WAY late...

sounds like timing is off (may be physically on but not timed with a light) also your maf diode is probably caked with dirt.

Update timed it with a light maf is newish but i cleaned it anyways. I did notice the misfiring is consistent with rpms. from around 2300-3100 rpms it breaks up really bad. then starts pulling. i held consistent throttle. But if you floor it it stops breaking up and pulls fine. So i ordered a cas. Any other thoughts??
