Ok... so an interesting conversation came up between my friend and I today.

At my school earlier today, we had a school-wide power outtage, and it just so happened that I was taking a shit at the time of the outtage (the bathroom had no windows). I was sitting there, enjoying the glory that is the "PANGES Bomb" and out of nowhere, the power goes out and the emergency lights come on (only 2, and very dimly lit, I might add.)

So I told my friend about this and he thought it was hillarious, and he was saying how being on the toilet taking a shit is the worst place to be when the power goes out. After a little thinking, i came to the conclusion that the toilet is only the SECOND worst place, with an elevator being the worst. I then added that it would be horrible to be stuck in an elevator during a power outtage WHILE needing to take a shit.

So that brought along the question of "would you shit in the elevator?" My answer was yes. Most likely, I would empty out my backpack and shit in that, then toss the backpack in the trash and carry my binders out. Then go buy a new backpack after class.

Then along came question #2: Would you shit in the elevator if someone else were in there? To which I said I don't know, since that's a tough call, since I have a shy bladder.

Then he asked question #3: Would you share a shit with someone if you both had to shit? My answer being Yes... I would, because then we could come to some sort of mutual agreement where if I shit, he could turn around, and I would do the same in return. I also figure that if I could be the one to shit first, I wouldn't be as bothered by the smell either, since the one shitting doesn't seem to notice the smell as much, and if I went first, I wouldn't be as bothered by the smell when the other person needs to shit.

That is ALWAYS the first thing I do when taking a shit anywhere. Making sure there is an abundance of TP (you never know).

1. I don't think I would shit in the elevator unless I was sick or something and really had no choice.

I think a more practical scenario would be getting the runs while stuck in traffic.

That's the thing, they do have security cameras.

Our company used to work with a commercial warehouse lot in downtown Los Angeles.
They had security cameras everywhere, and a lot of dingy homeless looking guys would be customers (and live inside the warehouse lots I think).

One time, the warehouse security/clerks caught this older dude get out of the elevator.
He had the courtesy to make a poo outside the elevator, but still.
Impressingly, he was efficient and the ordeal took less than 5 secs.
Pulled down his pants, did his thing quick (recall it was diarrhea), and pulled up his pants right after.
No need for any wipes.

Security had a word with the said customer shortly after.
Told them to post on youtube, but they didn't want to get in trouble or something like that.
Sucks for whomever had to do the cleanup.

I disagree, I held my shit for 5 days once when I was a kid. I couldn't shit in the bathrooms that this lake had up north, and there were too many people (holiday weekend) to just take a shit somewhere and bounce....so for a week, I did not shit, and let me tell you.....

I had the worst trouble shitting when I got home...poop was rock solid.

When I was in the Army, we'd be in the field and we'd cut the bottom out of a bucket. We'd sit the bucket upside-down and shit on the ground. It was a little more civilized than just squatting in the brush, but you had to support most of your weight. One day, one of the new soldiers came back pissed-off, without the bucket. He shit and got so relaxed he plopped down on the bucket and busted it....landing in his own pile.
