I was wondering if anyone had any opinions on new OEM timing belts vs. Aftermarket ones such as the hks or greddy ones? Are they worth spending more money on a expencive brand name one or are the OEM one better? any info is great.

Your dumb, please dont post anymore.

All those engine use Timing BELTS

OP: OEM timing belt is fine for a stock swap with bolt ons if you dont plan on beating on it.

Sure you probably could and im sure some ppl do, but im just paranoid and be worried about it stretching and slipping.

You can upgrade it for reliability and if your gonna beat on it (bouncing off the Rev) so you wont have to worry about it stretching or slipping.

The greddy is nice cause it has the timing marks on it. I forget whether the OEM Nissan has them but I know the "OEM Replacement" aftermarket ones do not and counting teeth is a PITA.

Nissan OEM replacement (pitwork) belts have the timing marks on them. Solid lines and dots.
