got a question im sure its been answered in other threads but i cant find any info...i know about the egr block off plate but i was wondering if you left the egr in its place blocked off the vaccum nipples and reroute the remaining vaccum lines could i get away with out buying the block off?...any info on this is appriciated!!!

It will work, you do not even need to block off the vacuum ports. Just closing up the tube that runs to the exhaust will do it (cut tube, squish, and fold over). I ran like this for a year or so after boosting my ka...of course being obd2 I got an egr temperature sensor code.

thankyou i hope i dont get a code though? and im not sure if its obd1 or 2? its a 1993 s13 hatch...i have to bypass the vaccum lines in that area due to the fact that one of the diaphragms is leaking....

Your car is OBD1 so it wont affect anything really.

you can always leave it hooked and cut the tube, and then run a hose from there back to your air box/air filter from the cut end of the EGR tube.
then you are just recirulating filtered air. the EGR just sees the amount of stuff passing through it.

i ended up making my own block off plate and just crushed and bent the egr pipe shut...car started no leakes no check engine light and no more egr...thank you all for your input...
