SR20DET Starting Issues.. EFF'D Issues..
I'm having some sr20 redtop starting issues. All started with me blowing an injector, got that fixed and all put back in. I hooked up everything back up and went to fire it up and for some reason I forgot to put the ground from fuse box (by coolant resivour) back on the intake manifold. When I tried cranking it over the only thing that happened was it turned over once and then POOOF this big cloud of smoke came over the ground that comes from the back of the head to firewall. I tried again and nothing, just clicking from the green relays. Replaced all three relays (IGN COIL, EGI, EGI PUMP), and slapped them in, cleaned up ground and tried again, poooof same thing again. If that ground is unplugged, click click click the relays go, plugged in car turns over once, maybe twice and poof that ground gets so hot that it burnt through my gloves.
Recently I have changed the coilpack harness (diagnosing the missing clyinder), ground is good on that harness to motor.. besides that I relocated power steering res, unplugged plugs going to fuse box to fix some masher wiring clump I had and plugged all back in.
The wires look good on the starter, all are tight. I pulled majority of the loom back from fuse box to starter + alternator wiring and looked over that..couldn't see nothing back. I don't really know where to start with this..
Any ideas...
