rb25/ka24 speed sensor

i just finished my s14 rb25det swap just trying to get some odds n ends working


so i read that i could use the ka speed sensor in my rb tranny but just looking at the ka sensor and pictures of the rb sensor it just doesnt seem like it would work. i then read that i can actually put the shaft from the rb sensor on the ka one to have a correct read out. has anyone done this? how easy it to do?

also how do i get the rpms to work correctly? there must be diff. options just need to know whats the easiest/best way to do it.

ohh im trying to do this too but i remember someone said that u can use just the speed sensor gears from the 300zx non turbo and put it on the stock rb25 sensor

yea but if i can use what i got it would be nice. if they come apart and i can swap the gear end. have it not effect how well/long they work then ide rather do that.

There is a slew of gear choices. You have to get the right one.

I have no idea which one it is.

the S14 Speedo has a potentiometer on the back/top side if you have a GPS you can calibrate your speed using the RB Speedo with the GPS speed

using alternate speed source adjust the "Pot" on the Speed gauge until correct speed is achieved

i just looked at mine and i have a ka sensor on mine and my gauge doesnt work. after doing research i found out that the rb25 sensor is a lot longer then the ka so i know that wont work. Why not just get a rb25 sensor? haha not sure where to get one either so if you know let me know haha

im using the na 300zx sensor and my mph is dead on. CarlH from nicoclub converted my tach for me.
