Yesterday, after I got my radiator installed, I decided to take the car out for some test runs; decided to pound it on the freeway. Barely hitting 100mph, while in 5th, I hear a loud grinding nouse similar to that of not pressing the clutch while switching gears; the motor shuts off. Unable to start it, I'm forced to coast into the shoulder lane. The clutch pedal feels a bit strange, shorter than usual. Fidget with it and it pops out to normal. Try to start her, motor shakes briefly then dies, as if not getting any air. Try a few more times, doesn't crank. Try to give her gas while starting, starts up and idles roughly then dies. After a few tries my battery starts to die. Had my friends tow me home.

In need of some serious help here, guys. Someone mentioned it could be a clutch problem? This morning I removed the valve cover to take a look: coil packs have slight traces of oil, probably due to trying to start her so many times. Thought it might be the timing chain since it sounded like metal, timing chain looked okay.

Any suggestions?

So I checked the alternator and power steering and neither are jammed. What else could it be?
